Sooooooooo, recently I joined The Face Shop 2013 T.O.P Girl Search Competition *shy*
But hahahaha to be honest, I joined it because I'm curious of what the T.O.P Girl Kit have inside
I know, cheapskate right?


Ok let's get down to business.

This is the box itself.

So what's inside? 

2 masks and 5 small sample sachets.

(Aloe & Pomegranate mask and the other 5 samples as shown in pic)

I think it was great and generous of them since its given free to applicants!

And lol, it didn't matter much if I don't win either for the competition :P

Life Of Pi

Ok this is a super delayed post but ahhh, who cares lah right?

After a month of showing on cinemas, finally get to watch this!
Went to Mid Valley with ma dear :D

Well it was an okay storyline with a little bit of humor.
But what to be praised and be given a thumbs up is the graphic.

DAMN NICE I TELL YOU.

No wonder it won the Oscars for the best cinematography!


Rating : 4 / 5

The graphic contributed the most for my rating. It was just too beautiful and realistic!

I wouldn't give any more spoilers for this movie so go buy a DVD and watch it yourself :P

Penang : Day 2!

Okay I know this is a super delayed post.
Sorry, this is gonna be a post full of pictures too.


We woke up at around 7 plus, I insisted to sleep for a little bit longer but dear say it would be crowded in hawker stalls.
So we left at around 8 and guess what, the hawker stalls just start opening -.-
That is late if compared to KL -_-


We went to Sin Seow Fong Lye Cafe for breakfast
We ordered prawn mee or better known as Hokkien mee in Penang and dear had Char Kuey Teow

This wasn't bad

And this was great! Tasted different somehow if compared to what we have in KL

They're generous with their prawns and bean sprouts!

Once we're done eating, we're ready to explore Georgetown!

First stop : Georgetown painting hunt!

As many may have known, Penang is pretty popular with the street art they have like the "Kids on Bicycle" painting.

Besides that, there are many other paintings done by the famous artist and the paintings are scattered all over Georgetown.

We sat the free shuttle bus and walked to find for the paintings!

(We referred to a brochure to search for them)

2nd stop : St George Church

So next, we wanted to explore more of Georgetown and we saw a really beautiful white building.

We thought it was a museum and therefore entered.

And it turns out its not museum but a church. *Awkwardness*

St. George Church. 

We entered and there's nobody there but still proceed to look around in awkward silence. It was a beautiful church which are open for visitors

We signed the guestbook and went outside to wait for the bus. 

The weather that day had never been so hot, really.

So we sat back the shuttle bus and suddenly saw one of the street arts while in the bus and quickly snap picture

3rd stop : Fort Cornwallis

I was never a fan of historical sites and needless to say, forts.

But dear wanted to go in despite the fact that he is a guy and would like these stuffs.

So we went in and damn, the sun is blazing to the max.

I didn't really enter those what seems like rooms.

He snap snap snap and then we took picture together and left lol.

Nope, we're still at the fort. No beaches in Georgetown.

So we went back to our hotels to chill a bit and shelter from the hot sun.
After a bit, we went back out to meet with his friend.

Sat his car and went to malls~

- Straits Quay Mall (Beautiful new mall with European-like structures)
- Gurney Plaza
- Queensbay

Then we went to some park for ice cream. The ice cream super special!
The ice cream was filled in a carton box. The ice cream man have to cut it into half and scoop out ice cream. The ice cream bun was added with peanuts.
Rm 3 like that for one. We thought it was around maximum RM 2 only since KL ice cream bun only RM 1.50 -.-

But ok la, worth it since its a hot day.

While on the way to dinner, I saw big Starbucks with Drive-thru!

Nice lor, drive thru.

We had our dinner in a western restaurant.
Forgotten the name, paiseh.

And it ends our day in 2nd day in Georgetown :(

Love

This is what my Interpersonal Comm lecturer says

"Do you believe it when people say "I love you" to you?"
I believe.

"Love is a big word so just believe it when people tells you so"


But something ran through my head.

Love is great word, but people these days use it just for the sake of saying.
Most don't know the true meaning of it and therefore abuse it.
People could just say it out of habit maybe?
This makes me doubtful.


Say "I love you" instead of "Love you"
The "I" makes a really big difference, well, at least to me.
You can say "Love you" everyday. But "I love you" once in a while.
Don't be shy to say it as there are many girls who felt insecure and these are the words which make them strong.

CNY 2013 Manicure!

Hello again!

Yeap I had a new header that I worked on till midnight LOL
Still not very impressive though.

Anyways! Here's my manicure for Chinese New Year!

Formula for O.P.I My Address Is Hollywood is pretty smooth!
For my ring finger, I wear 2 layers of O.P.I Teenage Dream which is from Katy Perry Collection to make my manicure stand out more.

After 3 days of wearing with Seche Vite top coat (I did put on base coat too) the polish haven't chipped at all even though I had been using my nails pretty often to pry open the lid of Love Letters tin and not to mention, opening cans of soft drinks during this festive season -_-


I could say it is really long lasting! Pretty proud of it too hehehehe
If you wish to have EVEN LONGER WEARING, i would recommend to apply another layer of clear top coat polish every 3 days ^_^

Or if you wanted a change of style, you could always "top up" nail arts or apply glittery top coats

That's all, I'll be posting another manicure of mine soon! :D

Penang Trip!

Hi ya! I'm back from Penang trip with dear yesterday!
The trip was from 14th till 16th January (Yeah it was damn short D:)

Our bus ticket from Pudu Raya to Butterworth

We reached Pudu Raya Terminal at around 7am and there are many scary people holding walkie-talkies going around asking if we wanted ticket to Penang (Like they actually know we were going there). 

Even when we say no, they followed around and ask again and again. 

Do not ever buy tickets from them as they are unofficial tickets. High chance that they are conmen.

So we boarded our bus to Butterworth via Ipoh. We stopped at Terminal Amanjaya, Ipoh for a 30 minutes lunch break. There was nothing nice to eat there -_-

And so, we take pictures lol.

While waiting for bus to continue journey again

The place was quite nice as a terminal. Renovated and really clean!

We continue journey and reached Penang jetty. Boarded ferry to reach Georgetown for a fare of RM 1.20.
They only use coins for entrance and that place is really old. The smell of salted fish was all around ._.

Waited for around 15 minutes and finally we got on the ferry.

And guess who I saw on the ferry? I SAW ERN KHAI! Well, I guess its him though I never met him before. 

Or perhaps, its someone else ._.

Reached Georgetown at around 3.15pm and we waited for the free Penang shuttle bus to take us to KOMTAR. Waited for like 15 minutes under the hot sun only come one bus. Then another 15 minutes only the bus move -________-

From KOMTAR we walk for like 10 minutes to reach Tune Hotel. Checked in at 4pm.

The room was small but its good enough for 2 of us in my opinion. 

Had a quick bath and off we go for food hunt!

First stop : New World Park (right beside Tune Hotel)

 

 Pretty high class place. The Starbucks outlet there were nice too!

Second Stop : Yi Garden Restaurant (For late super late lunch - dinner)

Well Google and some other sources say it is famous and it is nearby our hotel so we decided to go there.

This is their famous wantan mee. The black sauce is really different than what we have in KL.

Dear had a bowl of deer noodle ._.

First time eating deer meat and it have a hint of ginger taste.

We were still hungry after eating our food so we decided to order Hokkien Char.

DAMN CHEAP! RM 3 for one plate!

Got prawn and pork somemore!

Third Stop : Food Street

We got full and went walking around to digest for a little bit. Exploring Georgetown by feet!

And we found this! Pork satay! RM 1 per stick ._.

We had to sneak this into our hotel lol. It taste so-so only.

Bought 6 but I only managed to finish 1. Too full.

Some Methodist church. The rubbish truck really spoiled the view lol.

(If I never mention, would you notice? :P)

On our way back to hotel.

Finish the satay, bath, sleep and there ends our first day in Penang.

Yeap it is middle of the night @ 3am sharp and I feel like blogging :3

Happy Birthday to my boy boy!

I super love this photo of him :P

He's 22 now (quite old :P) and in another month, he's going for his internship which will last 6 months.

That means he will be busy from Monday till Friday...kesian :(

That also means me and him will be spending lesser time since we won't be meeting or going back together from college :(

I feel paiseh too if I were to ask him out on Saturday (The day which he can rest and sleep longer) :(

We'll see how it goes and all I can do is hope that nothing change. 

I actually planned to date and celebrate his birthday and watch the movie I wanted to watch damn badly, "Life Of Pi". It is gonna stop showing in cinemas!

But too bad, he forgotten and had arranged his schedule. When I reminded him only he know lol.

He asked if still wanna go or not, if yes then he will wake at 3am (which is now) to do his work.

Of course I felt embarrassed to said yes even though I want it badly.

Where can ask birthday boy to wake so early in the morning just to accompany me watch some boring movie at the cinema?

Plus, I'm not the one who is being celebrated but him.

He asked me twice but I just say nevermind though I was kinda sad. I keep wonder what to do to replace that cancelled date. And here I am, sleeping late so that I will wake up late tomorrow.

Cannot show him that I was sad cause I don't want him to end up being sad as well.
So I decided that I'll put on a smile and make him happy throughout his birthday though I'm not going out with him :)

But really, sometimes I am just rather dumb for showing my feelings everywhere. Dumb as always.

Maybe its just because I'm afraid of losing someone dear to me.

And letting them know is my way to ensure I hide nothing from them.

And that's what people always say, hide nothing = trust = not losing anyone.

After all, if I never show, they will never know. And this would make things worse in future since they didn't know it hurt the other.

Or perhaps I am wrong?

Yes, I'm feeling hardworking to update my blog at the very first day of 2013!

So yeah,

• Get better exam results (CGPA at least 3.5 please)
